Seekh kebab is popular in South Asia, made with spiced minced or ground meat, usually lamb, beef, or chicken. I hope you really enjoy watching this video and leave a comment.
Ingredients
3 tbsp mint leaves
2 tbsp Ghee
1 tbsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp Red chilli Crushed
1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
1 cup fresh coriander
2 tbsp Garam masala powder
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Cumin seeds
1 medium Onion cubes
1 medium Garlic Cloves
2-inch pieces Ginger
4-5 Green Chillies
2 tbsp coriander powder
2 tbsp Baking Soda
1 Kg Boneless Lamb cubes
In the meat bowl, let's first add the onions and the garlic. We will also need to add the ginger a well as the green chillies. Once added, let's add the mint leaves and the fresh coriander leaves.
Next, add the cumin seeds and the salt. Also, add the crushed red chillies as well as the turmeric powder. Also, add in the red chilli powder as well as the coriander powder. Let's also add the baking soda powder as well as the garam masala powder.
With so many ingredients added to the meat bowl, let's give the meat bowl a really good mix ensuring that all the meat pieces get all ingredients.
Mixing the Meat in a Blender
Place the mixed meat into a blender and blend the entire content. Once the blending is complete, your meat mix should be a very fine strong textured paste. Ensure to blend all your meat into a fine paste.
Preparing the kebabs
With all the meat now turned into a blended paste, place the meat into an empty bowl. To the meat paste, add in your ghee and give it a mix.
Once mixed, cover the bowl with clean fill and place it into the fridge to marinate for about 4 hours. After four hours, take the bowl out and we should now be ready to start making the kebabs.
Preparing the kebabs
Using some skews, start to wrap the meat paste around the skews to slowly start forming the long cylinder shape of a kebab. Once you have all your meat paste moulded in kebabs shapes, we will be ready to place them into an oven.
Cook your kebabs into an oven
We will need to pre-heat our oven first. Preheat your oven at 220 degrees for about 20 minutes. Once preheated, place your kebabs into the oven for 8 minutes at 180 degrees. As they are sizzling inside the oven, you will notice that water is dripping off your kebabs. This is actually the fat escaping from your meat.
After 8 minutes, take your kebabs out and flip them. Put them back into the oven for a further 5 minutes at 180 degrees.
After 5 minutes, your kebabs should now be ready and done, ready to be served.
